star this property answer text <p>The rights, freedoms and protections for children are considered throughout policy-making and programme activity across DFID. As part of DFID’s commitment to children, the Secretary of State recently announced her founding Board membership of the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children and increased UK ambition in tackling child labour in developing countries. DFID leadership includes recent commitments to eradicate female genital mutilation; end child, early and forced marriages; tackle all forms of violence against women and girls, recognising the harm this does to both boys and girls; and protecting children in conflict and humanitarian settings.</p> more like this
